The Small Aviation Club of Armenia was founded in 1970's within the Voluntary Association for Support to the Army, Aviation and Navy. The Club first specialized in hang-gliding - the pilots from the Club participated in a number of competitions in the USSR and won prizes.

Currently, the Club organizes basic theoretical and practical training courses for paragliding. The pilots then improve their skills through independent flights as club members. There are currently over 20 pilots of different ages and nationalities in the Club and the number is constantly growing.
